 jemsSE (Student Edition) version 4.5028 is available for download free of charge. jemsSE allows calculations with only a set of predefined crystal structures (72 different structures).

Mac OS-X 10.7.x or later

Mac OS-X version  here (.zip). This version (4.5430U2017) requires Mac OS-X 10.6.x or later, java 1.6.x, java3D & jai, mail and javamail. Note that java3D and jai are part of the java distribution for Mac OS-X 10.7.x or later).

Note 1:

java3D and jai are fully integrated in the java distribution for Mac OS-X 10.5.xx or later. Have a look into /System/Library/Java/Extensions. jems on MacOS X Mountain Lion requires to accept Mac OS applications not proposed in Apple Store.

Note 2:

depending on your MacOS configuration the installation can stop with the message "Installation failed".  Do not worry this message means that one of the postinstall scripts wasn't successful. Anyway jemsMacOSX has been installed in the Applications" folder, but activation.jar, mail.jar and mailapi.jar may have not been copied to /System/Library/Java/Extensions. 




Windows (version 4.5430U2017)

(with Sun javaVM 1.8.0_101)
